Thread: SHA1 underscore salted ?
Post: RE: SHA1 underscore salted ?
Lets say a username is "Jorgen" and the password is "narepanne" (the real password can be Narepanne, NarePanne and other case mutations, but it doesn't matter since the algo uppercases all the passwor... |

Thread: hccap to cap ? Possible ?
Post: RE: hccap to cap ? Possible ?
I think this is possible, Atom stated that cap -> hccap conversion isn't a conversion at all, it just rearranges the data and throws out the unneeded bits, but it's somewhat harder than one expects.

Thread: hccap to cap ? Possible ?
Post: RE: hccap to cap ? Possible ?
Yes, the cap -> hccap -> cap conversion will make an incomplete file, but it should still work with aircrack-ng, no? |

It just converts it.
The best option would be manually cleaning the cap file; should that be impossible, then there's wpaclean. |

Thread: HMAC-SHA1(key=SHA1(password), data=salt)
Post: RE: HMAC-SHA1(key=SHA1(password), data=salt)
I'd say it's -m 150, but I may be wrong.
Can you get a password, say, 12345, into the system and extract the corresponding hash?
That way you'll know for sure whether it's -m 150 or -m 160. |

Thread: ati and nvidia working together
Post: RE: ati and nvidia working together
It is impossible right now.
It MAY have been possible with ancient oclhashcat, which had the same binary for both platforms.
But that was at least 2 years ago, version 0.18 or something. |

A wrapper, which splits the masks and distributes workload would be an easier solution.
Anyone care to write one? |

As a result, each algo may have a number assigned to it (every range frees up for each unique algo name).

You should follow the canonical way of supplying commands:
hashcat -m 0 -a 3 --pw-min=4 --pw-max=4 -1 ?l?d -o /root/done.txt /root/hash/hash.txt ?1?1?1?1
Not that it matters (it's pretty much idiot ... |

Yes.
As a matter of fact, any GPU of sm >=2.0 has modern CUDA support.
For GeForce, it's any GPU older or belonging to 4xx series. |

You can always write a ticket on hashcat trac (top menu) and see what the devs say.
If it's really common, I see no reason why it shouldn't be implemented. |

A small GPU cluster, which has the speed of 1M p/s for WPA2, could check entire 16^10 keyspace in around 13 days.
No quantum computers needed. |
