Lets say a username is "Jorgen" and the password is "narepanne" (the real password can be Narepanne, NarePanne and other case mutations, but it doesn't matter since the algo uppercases all the passwor...

Post: RE: hccap to cap ? Possible ?

I think this is possible, Atom stated that cap -> hccap conversion isn't a conversion at all, it just rearranges the data and throws out the unneeded bits, but it's somewhat harder than one expects. ...

It just converts it. The best option would be manually cleaning the cap file; should that be impossible, then there's wpaclean.

Post: RE: HMAC-SHA1(key=SHA1(password), data=salt)

I'd say it's -m 150, but I may be wrong. Can you get a password, say, 12345, into the system and extract the corresponding hash? That way you'll know for sure whether it's -m 150 or -m 160.

Post: RE: ati and nvidia working together

It is impossible right now. It MAY have been possible with ancient oclhashcat, which had the same binary for both platforms. But that was at least 2 years ago, version 0.18 or something.

A wrapper, which splits the masks and distributes workload would be an easier solution. Anyone care to write one?

You should follow the canonical way of supplying commands: hashcat -m 0 -a 3 --pw-min=4 --pw-max=4 -1 ?l?d -o /root/done.txt /root/hash/hash.txt ?1?1?1?1 Not that it matters (it's pretty much idiot ...

A small GPU cluster, which has the speed of 1M p/s for WPA2, could check entire 16^10 keyspace in around 13 days. No quantum computers needed.
