Thread: Finding salt, with known pass and part of hash
Post: RE: Finding salt, with known pass and part of hash

It is not possible, unless: 1. You find out the hash completely. HC does not support partial hashes. I know only one program which does, and it's PPro. 2. You need to know the exact algorithm. If...

Since WPA/WPA2 hashes are salted, there's no difference in time between running 2 hccaps at once or mounting 2 seperate attacks if the attacks fail.

Post: RE: Vbulletin Low Bruteforce Speed?

No, it's actually simple: oclhc-plus is far more optimized than oclhc, that's why you get better speeds. The speeds are ok for 8 VB hashes.

oclhc is being ported to oclhc-plus, so in time oclhc will be deprecated.

No, it's not a card for gamers (it's sm_35, not sm_21 or sm_30), it's actually the best single GPU graphics card from NV. The speed of the rubber titan with litecat is 5303M p/s, for MD5, for example...

Try the latest release(v0.14), but most importantly, make sure you extract everything right, the hashcat.hcstat file should be present in the folder.

Add a pause at the end, so the batch file would look like this: Code: -- oclHashcat-lite32 5dXXX02abc4b2a76bXXX9d9110XXX592 pause -- That should shed some light on what's going on.

I'd say it's -m 150, but I may be wrong. Can you get a password, say, 12345, into the system and extract the corresponding hash? That way you'll know for sure whether it's -m 150 or -m 160.

Not a bug, it's due to the parallel nature of workload dispatcher. The best thing you could do is prepare the wordlist (there's a splitlen tool in hcutils that does this (https://hashcat.net/wiki/dok...
