Since the journalist(s) that posted this over the news did not present any proof, it's just their theories and opinions, not facts. |

If anyone ever thinks of launching brute force attacks on AES, they should take a look at these guys (https://stats.distributed.net/projects.php?project_id=8) first. |

Indeed, one dictionary + mask ; or one dictionary + another dictionary. |

Thread: Some general Hashcat questions.
Post: RE: Some general Hashcat questions.
Bruteforcing DCC using CPU is really old school, ancient school I may say.
OpenCLHashcat supports DCC.
You'll have better speeds on GPU.
That's millions p/s. |

You're comparing MD5 on GPU to DCC on 2 core CPU.
Kind of wrong.

Since you have access to 0.24 oclhc, you can install any driver > 258.xx for the beta to work.
This is the latest WHQL for your GT 220 (https://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-260.99-whql-dr... |

No it cant.
Try generating hashes of known plaintexts and then bruteforcing those hashes. |

Yep, that's the driver that's been floating around.
It's generally needed to toy with 3.2 release toolkit/sdk.

6990 indeed looks amazing from what info has leaked.
It'll be cool in AMD wont introduce new bugs in it, and it will work with OpenCL without glitching. |

Code it yourself with some custom scripts and stuff.
If there are such solutions they are surely custom and free.
Atom already said he's not going to code anything similar. |

Thread: Finding salt, with known pass and part of hash
Post: RE: Finding salt, with known pass and part of hash
It is not possible, unless:
1. You find out the hash completely. HC does not support partial hashes. I know only one program which does, and it's PPro.
2. You need to know the exact algorithm.
