Post: RE: ERROR: clGetDeviceIDs() -1
Right now, it depends on AMD to fix the issue.
But here's a workaround: roll back to 1.07b and sdk 2.1, for example, and use previous oclhc version. |

Thread: Some general Hashcat questions.
Post: RE: Some general Hashcat questions.
Bruteforcing DCC using CPU is really old school, ancient school I may say.
OpenCLHashcat supports DCC.
You'll have better speeds on GPU.
That's millions p/s. |

You're comparing MD5 on GPU to DCC on 2 core CPU.
Kind of wrong.
Check my bench to see more light. |

Yes, we dont crack hashes here.
Google for InsidePro or Hashkiller, there you can get help. |

GeForce GTX 460 has most bang for buck as of the latest Nvidia's.
Radeon 5770 is the best $/perf card. |

Steep huh?
Well, budget cards can go along with cracking, but dont expect high speeds on those. |

Yes.
Will be quite useful, especially if oclhc is called by scripts. |

Thread: Domain Cached Credentials benchmarks?
Post: RE: Domain Cached Credentials benchmarks?
Yes, AMD's gfx card's int. performance is higher than NV's, they support crypto-useful bit align, and they dont artificially limit dp fp perf by 4.
Oh, and they're cheaper. |

Post: RE: Disable setup from hashcat-gui v0.2.433
I twice had similar issues, both times on XP.
Each time I started M$ Office, msinstaller started. That was annoying.I found the solution by deleting it.
Another time, on another PC, it always starts,... |

Thread: Merge tools ?
Post: RE: Merge tools ?
Launch openclhashcat with some attack + launch hashcat with some attack.
On windows, oclhc almost doesnt use CPU, so you can use hashcat with it, and causing no uneven resource distribution. |

Hmm, I made a SHA-1 of pass "dragon7" - 975e734980efc2a0cf3b3bb3bd6fde89469e86e7
Then I put it into a file hash.txt
Then I call Oclhc with this batch file(test.bat), which contains:
Code:

Thread: Rules hashcat
Post: RE: Rules hashcat
Note, hashcat's rule engine is compatible to PasswordsPro's and JtR's(excluding preprocessing).
Oh, and it also has a very nifty "generate N rules" feature. |
