Post: RE: Which CUDA should I install?

Since you have access to 0.24 oclhc, you can install any driver > 258.xx for the beta to work. This is the latest WHQL for your GT 220 (https://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-260.99-whql-dr...

No it cant. Try generating hashes of known plaintexts and then bruteforcing those hashes.

Post: RE: Question on rules

Hashcat does not support preprocessing. But it's getting a speed increase! P.S. Using a laptop for hashcracking is a bit unusual and quite ineffective in my opinion.

Post: RE: Question on rules

Oclhashcat's docs folder probably has the examples you mentioned. The .hash files are example hashes, and the .word files are plaintexts of those hashes. I bet Atom made them just for reference, lik...

Post: RE: Each dictionary with mask?

| = OR. So no, you cant do wordlist1 mask1 wordlist2 mask2 If you would do the math, how long would that take, you prolly wouldnt ask. No goes to rule file too - Oclhashcat isnt designed for it.

And what are your GPUs ? Name them(or better yet, provide with GPU-Z screenshots). If you have AMD gpus then it's ok, AMD never fixed OpenCL-Multigpu on Linux OS. On windows, it works though(like 4...

Post: RE: MySQL5 hash wich mask easily

If the password is complex, I would try using wordlist + 1-3 letter mask. Did you try batchcrack.bat in oclhc folder? It contains quite a bit of fast masks.

Depends how extreme you want your cracking to be. More loops = less responsive desktop = faster cracking.

Yep, that's the driver that's been floating around. It's generally needed to toy with 3.2 release toolkit/sdk. 'Course, I measured even more performance drop with 263.xx than with 260.xx on multiple...

6990 indeed looks amazing from what info has leaked. It'll be cool in AMD wont introduce new bugs in it, and it will work with OpenCL without glitching.

Post: RE: Have a username file like the salt file

You do know that DCC treats username as salt ? And probably not all DCCs have Administrator as username ? Oh, and the username is case sensitive. Not to mention speed will suck big time.

Indeed, DCC ignores the case of username. You're too generous to spamming noobs of md5decrypter.co.uk :)
