Post: RE: Cracking password protected PDF documents

Hehe, awesome as usual, congratulations, Jens. So, this only applies to PDFs up to Acrobat v4. v5 and 6 implements 128 bit RC4, v7 128 bit AES and X and later 256 bit AES.

You can always write a ticket on hashcat trac (top menu) and see what the devs say. If it's really common, I see no reason why it shouldn't be implemented.

I assume you're using an old version of cudahc, as I am using 344.xx Forceware on Windows with the latest 1.32 beta (or 1.31 release) and it works nicely.

Oh, also, you should get the drivers from the official website (https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us).

RAM / vRAM is the limit, as I was using 1.31b1, which differs little from 1.31 release. The special version had no memory-wise optimizations, it only started the attack faster.

Update your drivers to something more recent. This should be it (https://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-320.78-whql-driver.html).
