Looks like SHA-1.
But to know for certain you should provide the source of the hash, like where did you get it from?
Otherwise, it's blind guessing. |

When Atom gets back, you can PM him for 0.24b which ONLY works with 260.xx . |

Thread: Some general Hashcat questions.
Post: RE: Some general Hashcat questions.
Bruteforcing DCC using CPU is really old school, ancient school I may say.
OpenCLHashcat supports DCC.
You'll have better speeds on GPU.
That's millions p/s. |

You're comparing MD5 on GPU to DCC on 2 core CPU.
Kind of wrong.
Check my bench to see more light. |

Since you have access to 0.24 oclhc, you can install any driver > 258.xx for the beta to work.

Thread: Have a username file like the salt file
Post: RE: Have a username file like the salt file
You do know that DCC treats username as salt ?
And probably not all DCCs have Administrator as username ?
Oh, and the username is case sensitive.
Not to mention speed will suck big time. |

Indeed, DCC ignores the case of username.
You're too generous to spamming noobs of md5decrypter.co.uk :) |

It's a performance tuning flag.
The higher you set it, the faster it will crack hashes, but at the cost of more unresponsive desktop.
I personally set it to 8, since that allows me to play games at re... |

I never really used permutation attack, but if you'd discontinue it, how about having a special "last version which supported permutation attack" somewhere?
Like in the old versions archive. |

Nope.
That would simply wipe out any competition on the hashcracking software scene and thousands of douchebags would simply steal oclhc, reverse, rebrand and sell as own commercial software. |

Nope.
And that's stated in oclhc/cudahc docs, which come in release archives.
But there will be another project from Atom, which will probably do what you want. |

Thread: oclHashcat-plus throws an error?!

It should, since it[the card] supports CUDA and there are sm_10 kernels in the NV kernels folder.
But maybe the current memory requirements of cudahc make it impossible to run the cat on old GPUs (wi... |
