Try the latest release(v0.14), but most importantly, make sure you extract everything right, the hashcat.hcstat file should be present in the folder.

Code it yourself with some custom scripts and stuff. If there are such solutions they are surely custom and free. Atom already said he's not going to code anything similar.

Since WPA/WPA2 hashes are salted, there's no difference in time between running 2 hccaps at once or mounting 2 seperate attacks if the attacks fail.

Since the journalist(s) that posted this over the news did not present any proof, it's just their theories and opinions, not facts.

If anyone ever thinks of launching brute force attacks on AES, they should take a look at these guys (https://stats.distributed.net/projects.php?project_id=8) first.

No it cant. Try generating hashes of known plaintexts and then bruteforcing those hashes.

RAM / vRAM is the limit, as I was using 1.31b1, which differs little from 1.31 release. The special version had no memory-wise optimizations, it only started the attack faster.

Hashcat and Ocl/Cudahc are closed source software. In your case, there seems to be no hash to crack, just raw encryption, which isn't what the software does.
