| Are you doing a brute force attack or a dictionary attack? Based on your initial post you are doing a dictionary attack using dict.txt, which means you need to use -a 0.

| My guess is it's way too big of a keyspace.. Just try it with less length on your hybrid attack such as only 2 or 3 characters and see if the error persist. Also how big is your dictionary file? |
