| Popped in 3.20 on an old Ubuntu 12x LTS server.
Got invalid driver messages.
Installed a fresh Ubuntu 14.04 LTS server install following the directions in the wiki (new HD too)
And now I just get ... |

| I can run this fine without the --increment. But once I try to use it I get an invalid mask error.
(tried adding in a min/max too. And moving the switches' order around a bit)
So where is my bra... |

But does the Spectre/meltdown patches effect cracking speeds?
I've heard performance hits all over the place (5%-30%)

For GPU cracking definitely not. For CPU cracking, very likely not. You mostly lose performance when doing IO, which hashcat avoids as much as possible.
