130k word is not that big for a wordlist, and hashcat wouldn't load your file if it wasn't in the correct format. |

Post: RE: Output password verbose viewing for wpa-wpa2?
For now hashcat-cli only combines the words in a wordlist with themselves while oclHashcat combines the words from 2 different wordlists,
Note that you can also use combinator from hashcat-utils (h... |

Read forum rules, do not post hashes.
And thanks for reporting a normal behaviour of hashcat. |

Then next question is, did you actually benchmark the gpu (with -b) ?
A not well tuned attack on gpu can make the gpu seem to be slow.
And my point with alienware is that it's quite expensive for ... |

Thread: Mask Attack Help / Brute Force Attack
Post: RE: Mask Attack Help / Brute Force Attack
-1 is used to define a charset, not the mask itself
And replace "mask" in your command line with the actual mask, so :
Code:
--
hashcat -m 300 -a 3 /root/Desktop/allhashes.txt ?a?a?a?a?a?a
--

Thread: GPU Hardware Requirement Help
Post: RE: GPU Hardware Requirement Help
Short answer : no.
A bit more detailed answer : the keyspace for the kind of password you are talking about is way too big to be done on current hardware. |

What about you read the forum rules first : https://hashcat.net/forum/announcement-2.html

Thread: wiki example hashes question
Post: RE: wiki example hashes question
You perfectly said it, the obvious answer is : the salt.
'1234' is the salt appended to the hash with the ':' as separator.
(If you don't specify it, hashcat won't guess it by itself) |

cat all your rules in a single rulefile, use that rulefile.
(using multiple -r for each rulefile would combinate all rules) |
