| -1 is used to define a charset, not the mask itself
And replace "mask" in your command line with the actual mask, so :

| You can play with -u and -n until you achieve a good speed/temperature ratio.
Maybe your cooling solution is also not optimal. |

| 40 bytes hex 'hashes' could be many things... if you know where it's from you should probably know the algo.
