OK great....I am looking at fans that can push 150CFM I figure 4 of those should be able to provide adequate flow and perhaps even an additional card at some point....

That's good to know. My current case would have the two 7990's stacked. So like you said with the fans blowing all the hot air directly on the bottom card, it probably won't have a chance...

I have been trying to diagnose this issue for a week or so now. I am fairly certain its the PSU, though it is a brand new unit so I didn't want to blame it immediately.

Melted down the 12V? Wouldn't it stop working all together then?
Its a single 7990 card with a 875w PSU. I assume I want a 1000W but was told 875 was enough power for the card.

Thats good to know...but I am curious because I see boxes with like 8-10 7990s and not watercooling so somebody has it figured out somewhere ;-)

Had the motherboard replaced...it wasn't the issue. The 12v rail was fine everything was in good condition when they looked at it. Issue still exists with new MB. Was told the MB should have no proble... |
