Post: RE: Benchmarks for hashcat v4.00 on AMD and NVIDIA...

@atom I wasn't aware there was that big of a difference between the AIR and Liquid VEGA cards. Still doesn't bring it down to the 1080's perf/watt level but it's good to note. Volta GeForce cards are ...

Ah ok, that all makes sense. I'd still be careful with the higher speed RAM dimms, I've not heard good things about their stability, even when used "properly" with the correct XMP profiles. You might ...

Post: RE: Benchmarks for 16 x NVIDIA P104-100 GPU's

A box with 8x V100 does like 1.5-2x the speed for ~half the power usage. And you can rent them from Amazon super cheap too. https://twitter.com/Chick3nman512/status/923574654383591424

Post: RE: Benchmarks for 16 x NVIDIA P104-100 GPU's

I was referring to spot pricing, not reserved pricing. Spot price right now for an 8x V100 box is only 9.10$/hr. Running that instance for a month would only cost you $6552, not almost 18k$. Of course...

That doesnt account for the 8x V100 box being ~1.5-2x faster though. The V100 box can get more work done in the same amount of time. Still, if you are going to be using the system for long term(2+ mon...

You will be sorely disappointed to know that it will likely be on par with the Vega64, but will cost an incredible amount more than a single Vega64. Depending on your scrypt settings(there are several...

Post: RE: Hashrate for AMD Radeon Pro SSG

The "2TB" of memory on the SSG, doesn't work like that. It's more of a local filesystem buffer to eliminate the bottleneck of going between system storage and the GPU over the PCI-e connection. You wi...

Post: RE: Hashrate for AMD Radeon Pro SSG

You will not be able to run it on an SSG any faster than on a VEGA64, as it simply does not work like that, at least to my knowledge. The SSD on the SSG is used as an extended buffer to replace system...

Thread: Hashrate for AMD Radeon Pro SSG
Post: RE: Hashrate for AMD Radeon Pro SSG

It is NOT VRAM. It is an extended frame buffer for loading/unloading large files when processing. This should be obvious by the 8x PCI-E lanes that the SSD literally hogs to itself to load/unload said...

Yeah, everything was stock. You should be within 5% of the SMX2 V100, which does ~52GH/s MD5. Titan-V did 50GH/s for me stock. You are doing 45GH/s, which is a serious difference. I suspect its a driv...
