So the dual xeons are pretty much necessary in order to get the most PCIe lanes possible?

After quite a bit of work, CUDA devices can now be used without OpenCL, so we can do things like this:

Thread: Are two CPU's required for a 6-8 GPU rig?
Post: RE: Are two CPU's required for a 6-8 GPU rig?
Yes and No. In theory 2 CPUs provide more PCI-E lanes so more GPUs can run with proper bandwidth. But they are not required assuming the board you choose has a backplane with PLX chips on it, which sw... |

Thread: Advice on HP Nvidia Tesla K40 GPUs
Post: RE: Advice on HP Nvidia Tesla K40 GPUs
The Tesla K40 is an abysmally slow card by today's standards, especially in hashcat, and coming in at 235W TDP per card, you would be FAR better served getting basically any GPU from the current gener... |

Thread: Looking to rent GPU Server 4 hashcat.
Post: RE: Looking to rent GPU Server 4 hashcat.
You are asking a lot of things here but I'll cover probably the most important part.
Bruteforce of ?a length 10 is not going to happen on pretty much any wallet variant, and bruteforce of ?a 1-8 is... |

Thread: 2080 super vs 2080ti
Post: RE: 2080 super vs 2080ti
As long as you are keeping your cards cool, they will be boosting WELL about the advertised "boost clock". It will also likely not be a noticeable enough change for you to really care. A couple extra ... |

Thread: DECRYPTUM
Post: RE: DECRYPTUM
Seems like a neat system. Would be interested to see how much bottlenecking it does and how many errors you run into with that CPU/RAM config though. Only an 8 core i7 for 12x 2080TI? And only 32gb of... |

The operation you are trying to do is called Item Pairing. There are a few tools around that can do it, including an online one linked below.

You will need to reformat the lines in such a way that the username or salt fields can be used to pair the emails with the hashes. It shouldn't be very difficult, here's an example format.

Do you know how old the file is? It's possible this file is simply using the older VBA script password prompt, which is easily removable and doesn't require cracking. |

Thread: bitcoin mining vs password cracking?
Post: RE: bitcoin mining vs password cracking?
Bitcoin actually uses 2 rounds of SHA256 so you would need to benchmark sha256(sha256()) to compare it properly. On a more important note, bitcoin mining on a 960 will probably yield pennies per year.... |
