I just leave mine as default. Just experiment and see if your speed changes. If you want to slightly improve performance / speed you could sort your lists into separate ones by word length.

Thanks mastercracker I think we are a little further forward ! If I try to put the hash "in line" I get the error above. If I try a larger text file with different hashes in (still MD5) it fails ! ...
