cpu doesn't matter for hash cracking with hashcat. i have used two hd 5970 on cheap motherboard and i3 530 cpu and no speed difference when upgraded to z68 motherboard and i5 2500k

your wordlist should already contain "mikev" in it, or on the bruteforce side you'll have to include a-z as well as numbers

if the hashed passwords are randomly generated then your only option would be to bruteforce

you can use the aticonfig command. it's something like aticonfig --adapter=all --odsc=800,1000 where 800 is the gpu clock and 1000 is RAM clock

oclhashcat-plus -a 3 linksys.hccap -1 ?u?d ?1?1?1?1?1?1?1?1 mind you bruteforcing wpa will take you a few months
