Thread: Recomended setup for hashcat
Post: RE: Recomended setup for hashcat
if you want to go cheap, take a look at the 5870 and 5970. they were the top cards of their time and still close to performance with today's cards. hard to find any new nowadays though. |

Thread: No output file... why?
Post: RE: No output file... why?
in your original example you have -output-file
you must use --output-file (notice 2 dashes)
or simply use -o out.txt |

Thread: 2300 c/s ? OMG it's soooo slow :)
Post: RE: 2300 c/s ? OMG it's soooo slow :)
single hd7970 can do it in 16.4hrs. if you have 8x hd7970 cards and assuming the same mask, you can run thru the entire keyspace in 2.8hrs. in practice maybe crack it in 1.4hrs. |

Atom, I guess you haven't had a chance to fix this yet as I'm seeing this issue in v0.42 as well. |

Thread: No such file or folder oclhashcat win amd
Post: RE: No such file or folder oclhashcat win amd
try moving the file.txt and the hccap files the hashcat folder.
Then your command line will be:
oclHashcat64.exe -m 2500 23908_1411573086.hccap file.txt |
