| cpu doesn't matter for hash cracking with hashcat. i have used two hd 5970 on cheap motherboard and i3 530 cpu and no speed difference when upgraded to z68 motherboard and i5 2500k |

| you can use the aticonfig command. it's something like
aticonfig --adapter=all --odsc=800,1000
where 800 is the gpu clock and 1000 is RAM clock |
