Please do the writeup. (You missed last year.) I'm curious if any of the methods taught in PasswordsCon 2014 LV were used. (Team hashcat seems to have the leading researchers.)

Is the .dicstat file for the whole directory of dictionaries given in the command for that session? Does it accumulate over time, or created new if a different directory of dictionaries is given?

Rather than having a rules.txt file at all, point people to the wiki, then you won't have to keep the two in sync.

What might be happening is that a ticket is somehow accepted, but doesn't say so, and when doing the CAPTCHA again, the second and onward attempted submissions are seen as "spam" since they duplicate ...

Maybe add a note in the wiki about the other hashcats that 'lite can do longer than 15 characters, though brute force only.

What I'm trying to do is find out how much longer a specific rule makes a particular combinator attack. I was trying a "do nothing" rule as a start.

How does this apply to exactly the same operation being done, the first with only -a 1 running for less than a minute, getting to 0.04% and displaying an ETC, while with -r it goes for even 10 minutes...

I'm still trying to understand why for the same attack, hashcat does give an ETC for: Progress..: 121/306706 (0.04%) Yet adding -r (for a rule that just does ":" so is functionally the same as no ...
