It would seem as though you will need to be running 10.8 for this binary. I am working on getting it compatible with earlier versions, but until then, only 10.... |

No, maskprocessor is closed source. But all that counts for you is the outfile. So you can generate the outfile on Linux or Windows and copy it to Mac

I am also an Mac_user, & can run perfectly on OSX LION ( 1.7.4 )
Have you tried to put "test2.txt" on the same folder of Hashcat App ?
If not, try it & repport if it's ok then.. |

first i notified you didn't mentioned the attack mode, in your & this case ( dick attack) case you have to use "a 0" (i say MAYBE that can affected the process..)

That don't work for you Because you didn't use terminal for launching hashcat & you "Double_clic" on the app, is the reason why you have this error !!
Working perfectly on my Mac's...from 10.7.x... |

| Sadly not work on the last version of Hashcat who "seem" are the V0.48, & like i can see you are running the V0.49..
