Thread: Looking for A Little Push
Post: RE: Looking for A Little Push
You haven't mentioned the hash type though. Each of them have different hash rates, sometimes vastly so. Faster hash rates open up the scope for experimentation (more rules, brute-force, etc.). |

Thread: Anyway to benchmark with specific parameters?
Post: RE: Anyway to benchmark with specific parameters?
Eh? Benchmark scores are measured in hashes per second, not time to exhaust keyspace... Just start cracking your hash and the "Speed.Dev.#1...: 10275.6 kH/s (0.00ms)" figure is your benchmark value. A... |

I don't think you can alter the benchmark parameters or attack mode (default is bruteforce -a 3 I believe) but why extrapolate when you've already identified a solution? Start cracking a hash configur... |

Ah yes, -m 8900. Not all hashes identify themselves so conveniently you must appreciate. Specifying the hash mode is required (unless MD5, the default, -m 0). |

Thread: PDF 1.4 Password hash cracking
Post: RE: PDF 1.4 Password hash cracking
Your command doesn't really matter. The GTX 970 benchmarks at about 7800 kH/s for this hash type (https://gist.github.com/epixoip/e885edc473e74398faf6) so even just 8 character passwords including all... |

Post: RE: PDF 1.4 Password hash cracking
You have only one GTX 970, not two, so only run one cudaHashcat64.exe, not two.
Change this:
cudaHashcat64.exe cudaHashcat64.exe -m 10500 -a 0 -o GotIT.txt myhash.txt final-wordlist.txt
To this... |

Post: RE: Device local mem size is too small
Just a guess but are you sure you installed the 64-bit version of OpenCL? This looks like hashcat64 is trying to load 32-bit components, i.e. from Program Files (x86) folder. |
