Post: RE: Is my rig/order missing anything?

I dont agree with Sondero, that its important to get USB risers, since they will lower your performance for something like dictionary or stdin attacks (at least for fast hashes). It would also be a wa...

No, but it can cause errors like CL_OUT_OF_RESOUCES, if you do not have enough. It is also nice, in case you are working with dictionaries.

No, but each of your GPUs has 11GB VRAM, so in total 77GB. I would suggest you go with 96GB, with 16GB for each module.

Riser cables and a proper frame to mount 7 GPUs. This bench table does not seem suitable for something like this, better go with something like this: https://www.newegg.ca/black-rosewill-r2030002-0118...

Thread: Will Hashcat work with this CPU and GPU
Post: RE: Will Hashcat work with this CPU and GPU

Sure, you just need the corresponding drivers. For the 1660, you need the NVIDIA drivers and in case you also want to use your CPU for cracking, you need the "OpenCL Runtime for Intel Core and Intel X...

Your thoughts are absolutely right. The only thing you are missing here is the iteration count, which is basically a factor which determines how long it takes to hash a single candidate (you can se...

No, this is just fine. The iteration count of the hash you are cracking (1024 iterations) is much higher than the iteration count used in the benchmark (32 iterations). If you do the math: 1024 (...

If you want something serious, go for a Asus WS X299 SAGE (https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/WS-X299-SAGE/) and with something like a i9 10900X. Yes this combo alone costs around 1.2k, but it give...

This sounds more like a mining build to me. I also don't get, how you are counting up to 10.000 $/€ with these kinds of components. 2080's are around 700 bucks, so you are at roughly 5k for your GPU...

Post: RE: Newbie learning how to crack a RAR3 hash.

There is an error in your command line. The 'RAR3-hp' is not needed and also not allowed to be there. Hashcat determines the hash mode solely based on the number which follows the -m parameter. If you...

When running a mask attack (-a 3), there should be no point why using more RAM would give you a better cracking performance, since the biggest part of candidate generation is done directly on your GPU...

I think the easiest way to achieve this is to have two different sessions of hashcat, one for each device. Downside is that you will have to somehow split the attack you want to perform.
