Do you specify a custom abort temp with --gpu-temp-abort? Default is at 90 degrees and if you reach them with mining, hashcat will certainly reach them too.

AFAIK, every GPU which has an OpenCL implementation is supported by Hashcat. You should have RAM >= VRAM in general, so 2 x 3 GB are not sufficient. I suppose this a typo and you meant 4 GB anyways...

I am also facing this issue under windows, if I call hashcat from a different location than its own folder. This issue is still present in 5.0.0, but did not occur in 4.0.1. It is somewhat annoying ...

For a passphrase approach, I strongly recommend the prince-processor from the hashcat-utils (pp64). It builds candidate by concatenating the words contained in the input list to a given length output....
