You could generate a rule file using maskprocessor (https://github.com/hashcat/maskprocessor/releases/), although there is only a rule to toggle the case at a given position, which obviously means you...

Post: RE: Will Hashcat work with this CPU and GPU

Sure, you just need the corresponding drivers. For the 1660, you need the NVIDIA drivers and in case you also want to use your CPU for cracking, you need the "OpenCL Runtime for Intel Core and Intel X...

Here is what you can expect with most recent drivers (451.48) under Windows: Code: -- hashcat (v6.0.0) starting in benchmark mode... Benchmarking uses hand-optimized kernel code by default. Yo...

Your thoughts are absolutely right. The only thing you are missing here is the iteration count, which is basically a factor which determines how long it takes to hash a single candidate (you can se...

Sure, but we are talking about enterprise grade hardware, software and support. Other than that, its really not easy to build these kinds of systems in such a way, that they can run 24/7 in a reliable...

When running a mask attack (-a 3), there should be no point why using more RAM would give you a better cracking performance, since the biggest part of candidate generation is done directly on your GPU...

AFAIK, every GPU which has an OpenCL implementation is supported by Hashcat. You should have RAM >= VRAM in general, so 2 x 3 GB are not sufficient. I suppose this a typo and you meant 4 GB anyways...

1. This depends on the Hash type (-m parameter), but not on the password itself 2. It is the other way around, the brain is made for slow hashes. For further information read this: https://hashcat....
