Post: RE: Advice on Rack Chassis for RTX FE GPUs
Thank you for the quick response.
So you would prefer any radial cooler I assume. Would be interesting to see a custom radial cooler for the FE cards, but thats just a quick thought...

Sorry vagantis, saw your post too late :p
The Gray Matter looks reasonable, but I am not sure how good it is to blow the hot air from the GPUs over the Board, assuming the airflow is meant to be fr... |

Thread: Need help with decryption rig
Post: RE: Need help with decryption rig
This sounds more like a mining build to me. I also don't get, how you are counting up to 10.000 $/€ with these kinds of components. 2080's are around 700 bucks, so you are at roughly 5k for your GPU... |

Post: RE: Need help with decryption rig
If you want something serious, go for a Asus WS X299 SAGE (https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/WS-X299-SAGE/) and with something like a i9 10900X.
Yes this combo alone costs around 1.2k, but it give... |

Your thoughts are absolutely right.
The only thing you are missing here is the iteration count, which is basically a factor which determines how long it takes to hash a single candidate (you can se... |

Sure, but we are talking about enterprise grade hardware, software and support. Other than that, its really not easy to build these kinds of systems in such a way, that they can run 24/7 in a reliable... |

Do you specify a custom abort temp with --gpu-temp-abort? Default is at 90 degrees and if you reach them with mining, hashcat will certainly reach them too. |

Thread: Is my rig/order missing anything?
Post: RE: Is my rig/order missing anything?
Riser cables and a proper frame to mount 7 GPUs. This bench table does not seem suitable for something like this, better go with something like this: https://www.newegg.ca/black-rosewill-r2030002-0118... |

No, but each of your GPUs has 11GB VRAM, so in total 77GB. I would suggest you go with 96GB, with 16GB for each module. |

No, but it can cause errors like CL_OUT_OF_RESOUCES, if you do not have enough. It is also nice, in case you are working with dictionaries. |

I dont agree with Sondero, that its important to get USB risers, since they will lower your performance for something like dictionary or stdin attacks (at least for fast hashes). It would also be a wa... |

I think blower style is always recommended, if you put more than one card into a machine, especially if you already have an airflow, that suits blower style cards.
According to @GrepItAll (https://ha... |
