Thread: 4 GPU system
Post: RE: 4 GPU system
Seems a bit outdated to me, so you will be restricted to DDR3 memory and older CPUs, but it should still work, I think.
If you also want to look at CPU performance, a Threadripper setup would give... |

AFAIK, every GPU which has an OpenCL implementation is supported by Hashcat.
You should have RAM >= VRAM in general, so 2 x 3 GB are not sufficient. I suppose this a typo and you meant 4 GB anyways... |

If you are going for more than two GPUs, I would recommend some HEDT platform like Intel's X-Series or Threadripper, since most consumer grade CPUs will run short of PCIe Lanes. If you want to get the... |

Thread: Building a Rig with 4 GPUs - Thoughts?

There is only one fan in the front which is dedicated for the HDDs, so no airflow at all to your GPUs. I think you will definetely need some serious fans pushing air to your GPUs, otherwise they will ... |

Thread: Slow hash and fast hash

1. This depends on the Hash type (-m parameter), but not on the password itself
2. It is the other way around, the brain is made for slow hashes. For further information read this: https://hashcat.... |

With this mask it is feasible to go up to length 7 at most, I guess. This is based upon a test with my 1060, where length 7 with the mask ?1?2?2?2?2?2?3 would take 5 days. |

You want blower style cards, because they support a linear front-to-back airflow through your chassis, which is extremely important, when you put more than 2 cards into your rig. Stacking cards with a... |

AFAIK, Hashcat does not control your fans at all, the only thing that may be possible is workload throttling. Im not sure which software is recommended to set custom fan curves for ubuntu though. |
