GPUs (like 1070-1080-1080ti) are far better than CPU (even i9) |

Thanks atom.
I use this cmdline: hashcat64 -m 9800 -a 3 -w 4 -O office.hash ?a?a?a?a?a?a?a?a?a
After 30 hours (on 2x1080), nothing cracked so far.
Wha do you mean by "pretty soon" ? :D |

All. I don't see where hashcat can help me to do these steps, so I guess I need to code in python or C++ to deal with RC4 decryption and encryptedVerifier?
If yes, are you aware of an existing code t... |

I had bad exepriences with 1080 FE (overheat). I guess it's worse with Ti. I hope you have a good cooling. |

From an algorithm perspective, would it be faster to sort & uniq on CPU or GPU, for huge files ? |

Post: Combinator Attack and unique
Hi,
When using Combinator attack (with two wordlists), hashcat does not unique duplicate words.
I think it's useful, but it may exist a reason why developers did not implement that ?
Thanks. |

Post: RE: 1080GTX sluggish WPA cracking..
For a single 1080, 300 kH/s is is quite okay. See benchmarks.
If you do bruteforce you can get 380 kH/s but dictionnary is a bit slower. |
