Well, I've installed Ubuntu Server 12.04, xserver and xterm, and on NTLM it was only about 0.27% faster than on my KDE :(

So, you have tested it on linux 3.2. But do you have tested it on newer kernels ? For example 3.5 or 3.7 ?

For sure. But I'm interested into speeds. What about speeds ? Are they higher or lower on newer kernels ?

Yes it's very likely. But linux is getting faster and it interacts better with hardware with every release. Would be good to try.

Xanadrel has got a point :D Window$ doesn't know FIFO as far as I know, so window$ binaries neither. Use linux binaries.

You probably haven't got it. You will use nothing if you don't want to burn your GPU.
