    Thread: AMD Radeon VII benchmarks(?)
Post: RE: AMD Radeon VII benchmarks(?)

Thanks Jardeath. Unfortunately the benchmark is not quite complete, but the results are very mixed - as expected. Fisrt glance: The Radeon VII can most often not even gain a +20% over the Vega 64. ...

Post: RE: AMD Radeon VII benchmarks(?)

You're cherry picking. As mentioned, Etherum takes a big profit out of fast memory. Meaningless for hashcat. The 2080 tops out at 225W if not tweaked. No idea how you manage to see it anywhere clos...

    Thread: AMD Radeon VII benchmarks(?)
Post: RE: AMD Radeon VII benchmarks(?)

I'm afraid it is just a die shrink, since the architecture behind is still GCN5, although a bit tweaked. And again, faster and bigger memory is almost irrelevant for hashcat. Take the Anandtech benc...

Post: RE: AMD Radeon VII benchmarks(?)

Ether is just one hash algorithm and it prefers AMDs architecture. Plus fast memory, while hashcat does not. Not comparable at all. I'd be surprised if the Radeon VII will be on par with the RTX2080....

You can always underclock GPUs to improve their hashes per watt ratio. A heavily undervolted RTX 2080 should do a similar trick as the T4.

Are you using the -O for optimized kernel and -w 4 for highest workload?

You can specify the devices you want to use. Cut it down until it runs or bump up the RAM.

Hello and welcome. Starting with the HashkillerGUI is a good idea, but you have to make a few changes. One is unchecking "CPU only", the other is to point the Hashcat Path to the right directory where...

Post: RE: Hashrate for money - RTX 2080 or RTX 2080 Ti?

By simply calculating cores and clock rate it should be ~1/3 faster. EDIT: Seems to be the 2080 Ti FE will be delivered these days. That's why there are no benchmarks out yet.

Yep, the values of th 1080 seem a bit too slow. At least 7-zip is not ok. @cvsi: Could you also run a benchmark for the 1080? Then we'd have the same system, OS & driver for the three cards.
