Sounds like the GPUs are already existing. Which type are you using? Keep in mind that power usage is a decent factor and needs to join your calculation.

You can specify the devices you want to use. Cut it down until it runs or bump up the RAM.

All the performance cards are dual slot, even the 750Ti. So the maximum for the server are 5 cards. The GTX750Ti is nice but relativly slow. Five of those are slower than two GTX970 at the same costs....

No, you misunderstood that. It requires a power supply with 400+ watts of power. The card itself draws about 120w.
