You show the GPU temp while rendering and everything is fine. Can you start hashcat and monitor the temps again? How much higher are they? If it the screen goes corrupt after 30 sec. just stop hashcat... |

First of all, you're using an outdated graphic driver. Try to install 14.9 instead of 14.4.

transout, I might be wrong but the memory shown by Hashcat is only 3072MB, although all 290X have 4GB+. Maybe that's your source of probs. |

No, you misunderstood that. It requires a power supply with 400+ watts of power. The card itself draws about 120w. |

You could, theoretically, but then it does not make any sense with the GTX960. Plus you shouldn't connect several 12V-rails from different PSUs together. Never. Promise. |
