Thread: Radeon R9 390X News
Post: RE: Radeon R9 390X News
Although only rumors, 3584 shaders will be the 390.
390x comes with 4096 shaders.
Watercooling is for sure.
Not so the 300W.
But definitly the 28nm process.
EDIT: It's expected in the next four to si... |

ASICs have been around all the time. The NSA surely will have the latest and even unavailable technology for breaking hashes.
Beside that I don't think CPU's displace GPUs for accelerated computing b... |

Yep, that's two different stories leading to the same thing: the CPU power cannot be raised much mure so you add massive parallel RISC cores (a single shaders layout is very similar to a classic RISC ... |

I'd say if you buy it just for playing around, cut down on the mobo and buy a cheaper one with two PCI-E slots. Put the saved money in a decent graaphic card like epixoip suggested and you still have ... |

The 270 and the 270X use the exact same chip with 1280 shaders. The 270 has a TDP of 150W and the 270X of 180W, but if you clock them at the same rate, they will perform identical and use the same amo... |

Post: RE: rx 560 vs 1050 vs 1050ti
The real cracking speed depends on a few parameters. The more hashes you crack at once, the slower the speed. Which crack mode you're using is also important. Since we don't know what that guy from Yo... |

Sorry, but that's wrong. The Polaris 10 tops out at 2304 cores (RX480) and comes with 2048 in the RX470, while the Tahiti chip had only 2048 cores at all. I don't says the architecture changed much, b... |

But Ryzen also comes with AVX2 and since you can get an 8-core CPU instead of a 4-core for the same money, there can be quite a difference. Like always, we'll have to wait and see. |
