Thread: Benchmarks for hashcat v4.00 on AMD and NVIDIA cards
Post: RE: Benchmarks for hashcat v4.00 on AMD and NVIDIA...
Volta will be very likely launched/available for the comsumer market in Q1 2018, early Q2 2018 the latest. And the coming up card will be again around 70% faster as its predecessor, the GTX1080.

Post: RE: Benchmarks for hashcat v4.00 on AMD and NVIDIA...
Maybe it's time for a new kind of benchmark. A dozen hashes that can be cracked with a wordlist and some rule set that powers out a GPU at 100%. In the commen formats MD5, SHA-1 and maybe NTLMv2 or so... |

Thread: Best 6x GPU case / chassis
Post: RE: Best 6x GPU case / chassis
The Graymatter to me looks like a piece of garbage. The GPUs are exhausting into the mainboard/PSU area and from there no fans are pumping some air out. That's some kind of home made bullshit design. ... |

About to purchase a laptop with GTX 940i onboard - is it worth it, anyone?

Agreed about the waste of energy. And if you're going to do it, get an ASIC which will be far more efficient than a GPU https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com... |

A 10-core CPU is not necessary. If you need this system only for hashcracking there are cheaper configurations possible with LGA1151. I'd prefer three 1080Ti over four 1080. |

I personally don't like open cases. You have to be extremly careful around them. I prefer a closed case and a high rate of airflow. Plus carrying them around is way more difficult. |
