Post: RE: GTX Titan X

The 980Ti will clearly have a few shaders less then the Titan X, rumors say 2816. Combined with 6GB the price should significantly lower. The 250W if the Titan were totally logical (by multiplying the...

Thanks for that deep insight. Your argument with the 300W-throttle-limit is very compelling. I ment the 390x will be a game changer in general for the GPU market, not explicitly for hashcat. It will ...

I agree on most terms except the innovation of the upcoming 390x. Sure, performancewise they just nail a few more cores on the die. And even with 4096 core it seems to be only slightly faster than the...

I'd say if you buy it just for playing around, cut down on the mobo and buy a cheaper one with two PCI-E slots. Put the saved money in a decent graaphic card like epixoip suggested and you still have ...

The 270 and the 270X use the exact same chip with 1280 shaders. The 270 has a TDP of 150W and the 270X of 180W, but if you clock them at the same rate, they will perform identical and use the same amo...

You show the GPU temp while rendering and everything is fine. Can you start hashcat and monitor the temps again? How much higher are they? If it the screen goes corrupt after 30 sec. just stop hashcat...

First of all, you're using an outdated graphic driver. Try to install 14.9 instead of 14.4. Maybe the solution is very simple: if this (https://www.deepcool.com/product/dcoolingaccessory/vga/2013-1...

But Ryzen also comes with AVX2 and since you can get an 8-core CPU instead of a 4-core for the same money, there can be quite a difference. Like always, we'll have to wait and see.
