    Thread: Ryzen OpenCL benchmarks?
Post: RE: Ryzen OpenCL benchmarks?

From what I've read Ryzen has a problem with sleeping cores, which take too much time to wake up. Since the benchmark has a very short running time in terms of each Hashtype and it has been tested und...

Two cents from my view: - max out the RAM to 32GB; i read somewhere you should have at least as much RAM as you have on your GPUs; with complex rule jobs on huge wordlists RAM could be a problem - y...

And a third thing: i'm not shure if the PSU is ok with only 1500W. Maybe you want to upgrade to 1600 or 1700W to be on the save side. Power peaks are can be a problem, but full throttle you're running...

The real cracking speed depends on a few parameters. The more hashes you crack at once, the slower the speed. Which crack mode you're using is also important. Since we don't know what that guy from Yo...

Post: RE: Upgrade graphic card on PC, what to buy ?

Not necessarily. The 270X is already an old horse that cannot be recommended. If you can afford it, have a look at a GTX1050, they start at ~100€ (new). Ti would be even better. They have fewer cor...

In that list you can see the GTX1070 with ~285000 hashes/s. It has 1920 cores, exactly 3 times more then a GX1050. And since it also has a bit more clock speed, you can assume a GTX1050 will do around...

I would rule out the second Gigabyte model since it is for low profile, so smaller cooler. Temps should not be an issue with these cards. In which market are you shopping? U.S.?

Forget gaming. Sure, if it fails under gaming it will fail under hashcat too. But if it does not, you're not any wiser. Get yourself md5stress and run it for at least 15 minutes and then run a hashcat...

Let's face it, that GPU ist ruined for the seller. That you can use it for Hashcat is just a pretty nice coincident. But I would not pay more than 20€ for a card that is crashing under games and has...

Well, didn't you already fix it by underclocking? ;) About memory and hashcat: that was about the amount and not the intensity.

30 bucks is absolutly fine, no that you solved the problem. I'd stay with the factory BIOS, no errors, faster speed and 65° is no big deal for that card.

Quadro P400 and GTX1050 share the same chip. No need to buy the professional card, just save some money and go with the GTX1050.
