My speculation is also based on the V100 which is true in hardware and has been tested many times. The chip design of Volta and Turing seems to be very identical except for the missing Ray-cores on th...

Nice. Mainly 35-37% faster in the fast hashes, a bit less than expected. First glance differences (to the GTX1080): md5crypt (500): +63% sha512crypt (1800): +88% Kerberos 5 (7500+13100): +51% DPAPI...

Could someone with a fresh benchmark of a GTX1080 (hashcat 4.2.1) do a comparison sheet? Or PN me the benchmark so I could do that. Thx!

Same here with the GTX980. NVidia 397.xx fine, 411.62 slow. I don't wanna sound paranoid, but it's odd that with the new driver and cards the older ones suddenly get slower. I'm just preparing the ...

The results are in. The standard benchmark values are compared since this makes most sense and keeps the list clear. Overall: RTX 2080 vs. GTX 1080: +63% RTX 2080 vs. GTX 980: +197% GTX 1080 v...

Yep, the values of th 1080 seem a bit too slow. At least 7-zip is not ok. @cvsi: Could you also run a benchmark for the 1080? Then we'd have the same system, OS & driver for the three cards.
