They're actually slower with -O

For sanity's sake here's what version I'm running these with.

I'll boot it up and test different commands.
I'm only posting NTLM hashes, but I see the same issues across the board with other hash types with single hashes as well. Gimme a few and I'll have new d... |

Well shoot.
Ok, then for fast hashes, what's the best way to get full acceleration for rule based attacks? I was playing with the hctune file for a few hours but didn't get any progress. |

Yeah not sure what that's about. I was playing with the hctune file and couldn't get them to do anything but crater, but since I'm not exactly an expert in tweaking hashcat, that's hardly a surprise. |

Adding ?b to the mask results in an Integer Overflow Detected in Keyspace of Mask error. So that's a no go. |

Like I said, it was a broken command and I get that. What I don't understand is why using -w in any form more than halves my speed but -O nearly maxes it out. |

I recently stood up a 4 GPU system, and noticed something strange. When I run a benchmark -

Ok, I've been putting in a lot of time to dink with this since my last reply and I have to admit I have no idea why this is getting such slow speeds with commands that ought to be working.

Random thought, it would be nice to have a benchmark that I could specify the type of attack. Right now, the benchmark command just runs a brute force. Maybe an option for mask, hybrid mask etc so you... |

It's the product of both rulesets - rule 1 from list 1 AND rule 1 from list 2, etc etc.
This is one reason why ':' (do nothing) is often included in rulesets... |
