I'd guess the mask is still too short and doesn't provide enough work. Numbers are pretty close to the benchmark on all cards but the fastest, the 2080.

Ok so for giggles I did some testing, and accidentally came across something.

What has me wondering if I'd be better off huffing paint is WHY this command gets such high speeds, but when I correct it, it doesn't get anywhere NEAR the speeds. Same idea with NTLM instead of MD5. ... |

It's the product of both rulesets - rule 1 from list 1 AND rule 1 from list 2, etc etc.
This is one reason why ':' (do nothing) is often included in rulesets... |
