Thread: des / 3des question
Post: des / 3des question
Hi,
I understand that Hashcat is a tool for solving hashes, really fast by the looks of it. And I'm into RFID security, where I get to deal with the underlying crypto-algos. At the moment three ... |

Indeed it is a block cipher, with 128bit key, which works on 64bit blocks.
Given one scenario where its not used for streams (memory, files), but only one block, to find the key then the differe... |

Post: RE: TEA/XTEA imp
In the system Im looking at, the assumption is that TEA is used as a KDF. We call it a pwdgen
pwd = tea(Secret key, unique bytes)
btw doesn't hashcat support DES and other cryptos?... |

Some ppl has been asking about this and my own curiousity has been there since I implemented a naive dictionary implentation for the proxmark3 client.
