Thread: Wordlist of phrases
Post: RE: Wordlist of phrases
I know that site, but we serve different purposes.
ngrams will try to find the most used word combinations, while in my script I want to catch "quotes", ie "Do you feel lucky punk" or "I'm gonna make... |

Thread: Resume session while using mask file
Post: Resume session while using mask file
Currently I am running a mask attack using a mask file.
Looking at the output, it seems that the skipped and Restore.point values are referred to the current mask.
Since in a file there could be sev... |

Thank you very much.
I was doing the same, but I wanted to check if there was an automated way to do that.
Well, at least I wasn't doing something wrong :) |

Post: Cracking 16 digits wi-fi
Hello everyone,
I'd need some advice before attempting something useless.
I'm trying to crack a Wi-Fi network and I know for sure that the password is 16 chars long, digits only.

Thread: Custom iterations count
Post: Custom iterations count
Hello everyone,
I'll admit this is a pretty weird scenario, but sadly I have to face it.
I have a sha512 salted hash, with custom iterations for each user. For example User A has 7200 iterations, ... |

Post: RE: Custom iterations count
Since I don't have access to the code base, I can only perform an educated guess.
The hash resembles plain sha512 algorithm, the salt is something like 104e8bd5-462f-4974-a508-f2963be9da75

Hello everyone and happy new year!
Currently I'm working on a pretty large list (3.9M hashes, trimmed down to 2.2M unique hashes) made of plain, un-salted MD5 hashes.
I know for sure that all the pla... |

Sorry for the double posting, but I tried some new things.
Looking around, trying to crack anything that it's not English seems to be a big PITA.
To be on the right side, I tried to use the charset ... |

You're probably using the wrong charset.

That's possible, any suggestions on how could I find the error?

Sorry, I think the problem was caused by the length of the candidate passwords.
Is the 55 limit still valid? I think that would explain the 0 keyspace: they are all skipped thus the final keyspace is... |

some time ago I remember I read something about Markov chains in hashcat, stating that Hashcat always uses them when launching a bruteforce attack.
I wanted to take a look at it ... |

I am aware of the help screen.
My question is: is this kind of attack useful? Or used to be and then with the refactoring became less efficient/useful? |
