Forget gaming. Sure, if it fails under gaming it will fail under hashcat too. But if it does not, you're not any wiser. Get yourself md5stress and run it for at least 15 minutes and then run a hashcat benchmark right after it (batch job). Or do some good rule-based cracking with hashcat. But gaming is nonsense.
(09-19-2017, 02:19 AM)Vidramon Wrote: [ -> ]Yes, that is clear to me, but obvious I first must find what is problem and what suddenly caused that card not work properly in full loads, so I will first try with games and Gpuz test to find out how the card is behave. If it's okay then I will run hashcat on it, if not I must try to find a problem and try to solve it.

But if the card has stopped working properly after clening I hope that the trouble is not big, and hope it can be solved since it will be great buy low price and it will do a job for me. I will update with new info and temperatures tomorrow.

What is the cost of the card if you dont mind me asking? R9-270x is several years old at this point. The OEM fans fail quickly with use, which is what I think the seller is describing. When I initially bought GPUs to use with hashcat, I mistakenly bought OEMs. Within several months of using them, one or both of the cooling fans were failing. They were replaced under warranty, but those fans will fail too. I still have some of those 270x cards, let me run a benchmark and I'll post it up for you.
Here you go @Vidramon, there are two cards in this particular machine, separated by an air gap and a 120mm case fan to keep them from cooking each other.

So the 270x runs roughly the same H/s compared to the 1050, but remember that the 270x connects with 2 6 pin connectors and is several years old. I can't find the specs on the manufacturers site anymore, since the cards are so old they dont list it anymore. 2x 6 pin would be 150w, plus it could draw up to 75w from the motherboard itself if I remember correctly. The 1050 has TDP of 75w, drawing power only from the PCI-E lane. If the cost of the 1050 is close to the 270x, you will be getting a comparable card in relation to H/s, plus it will draw less power, paying for the cost difference with less power consumption, it will be new, and it will be supported for much longer than the amd card.
Hi tacohashcat, thank you, the speed is great for my needs !
The cost it will be lower, it is set to bidding and the highest price will win, but I can agree with the seller since card is with me now for low price since it have problems. 2 6 pin connectors are not problem, my 5870 also use it, power consumption is not problem also, I have a strong PSU that can handle it without peoblems, my main goal is to find a cheap card that can fulfilling the needs. I know and agree with everything you said but 1050 I can only buy new for 140$, and this card if I manage to fix it, will be double cheaper sure, which It suits me very much, and I can sell it later...

Ok card is with me, I notice a problem with left fan, exactly how the salesman said, that he pull harder left fan with hoover when cleaning the card and that problem is since then.

See here in videos, it's clearly seen :

The problem is that I can't believe this card does not have temperature sensors on vram and vrm !

It only show a cpu there is no Gpu temp #2 and #3 for vram and vrm like I have on my 5870.
Yes and I check all is marked, but it simply does not have it.

So the temperature in idle is with 20% fan speed below 30 degrees. Which is ok, but problem is that I can't see other temperatures, I don't try yet to full load it.
I think that this card is 100% ok it is like new, the problem is temperature in full load for sure since this left fan badly working.
I want to give it demanding jobs to do, but I can't see all of the temperature, what to do ?
It looks like it was knocked out of center somehow. The fan blades appear to be wobbling. Not sure how to fix that other than to try replacing that left fan.
I can't tell but are any of the fan blades chipped?

Not somehow I already tell, he was cleaning the card and with hoover by accidently pull harder left fan, and now it is wobbling and not spining how it should be, also when I get it and try to touch center of the fans right was strong and good, and left it seems to be barely holding, and wobbling left-right.

Blades are in excellent condition no damage on it, only problem is on the center where is axle.
I assume this is problem why card is crashing on high load, not sure, but everything points to it, shame I can not see all of the three temperatures to conclude where is the problem and what is overheating.
The fans are only screwed on with three small screws if I remember correct. You may be able to unscrew it to see. Maybe the mount underneath broke. Replacement GPU fans can be found fairly cheap on ebay here in the US. If you know the measurement of the fan you can look for a replacement if it is still less than a 1050.

Yes you are in right I see that fans can be removed and already find some replacement on ebay. I will ask seller can I open the card to see situation under.

I put card on gpuz render and furmark test.

Gpuz after 10 minutes :

Furmark after 10 minutes on 1280x1024 ( max for my monitor ) :

Hmm no problems at all but Hw monitor registers lower turning of one fan :

Don't know card is not mine so wont like to damage it, I will play GTA V for an hour and if there will no be problems, I will run hashchat to see what will hapen.
