AMD MB recommendations for HD6870 and maybe a 290

Hi there. I'm currently using this motherboard and with a HD6870 and AMD Phenom II X2 545 CPU for cracking.
The lack of another PCIE16 slot is stopping me from adding another display card, maybe I'll get a 290 if I'm lucky or another 6870..

Does anyone have any recommendations for an AMD CPU motherboard (since they tend to be cheaper than intel)? Money is of course an issue

If money is an issue, at first you can go with pci-e extenders. They are cheap and for hash cracking you don't need 16 lane. If still want to go with new motherboard, gigabyte GA-990FXA-UDx series has proven themselves as stable and long-term one's.

Many thanks! Both are great ideas. I didn't know I could extend the PCI-E for example.
